Bill Gates the Nomad

Well, today is the day that Bill Gates finally hangs up his hat and in the words of Paul Young, “Where ever I lay my hat, that’s my home”. Bill Gates

OK, that is not strictly true, but I believe Mr. Gates will be doing some major mileage over the coming years and hopefully giving many people who would otherwise not have a great chance in life, a deserved break.

It will be quite interesting to see what type of impact is made with the amazing amount of money to be poured back into the worlds (for want of a better word) needy, but I for one will be keeping a close eye on the developments and hope that the money actually ‘does what it says on the tin’, rather than being channelled into the wrong hands.

Still, Bill Gates will still have connections with Microsoft that will no doubt be utilised less frequently as time passes, but my thoughts are, ‘will he really be able to let go.’

Either way, hopefully the impact on the world receiving the many billions can be just as effective as the first years of Microsoft’s beginnings and the changes that were then seen.
