With today being the birthday of a man who has the shown outstanding integrity through a momentous 90 years, all that is left to say is, “Happy Birthday, Nelson Mandela!”

On the technical front, an area of interest lays in future technologies.  My feeling is that after the amazing 3D experience of watching U2 in the cinema, the next few years will see rapid development in bringing 3D to the TV.   After that, it is almost certain that one will be having a 3D experience on the home/workplace computer screen.

Feel free to advise on any development in the 3D home/workplace computer area….I would love to hear details.

A new piece of software called ‘360 Desktop’, is about to make huge waves and quite possibly take the desktop 2.0 world by storm.

This software has been in development for the best part of 2/3 years and is currently being offered in a BETA format.

After downloading the software and running it today, I have to say it is quite an excellent piece of kit and most certainly enhances my experience.  I have even advised others who are now enthusiastic about the technology.

Desktop 2.0 for web 2.0 is the line being given and I would totally agree.

No doubt there will be quite a few other companies trying to play catch up with this idea and I for one wish 360 Desktop all the best and look forward to exploring more on what the software can do and how it develops over the coming months.
